Experience

Shamoon has more than 20 years of progressive and varied experience in the financial sector.
 He has been in the region for nine years, previously working primarily in investmentsand asset management with Boubyan Bank, Bahrain Islamic Bank and KFH Real Estate. Shamoon has extensive experience in managing private equity and real estate investments and notable expertise in structuring and developing investment products and asset management.
He started his career in investment banking within Corporate Finance/Advisory in Pakistan. He then moved to New York with ABN-Amro selling listed equities to funds investing in emerging markets. Subsequently he shifted to development finance helping Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). During this period he worked at government/policy level; industrial/ sector level and with individual enterprises. He also has extensive experience in financial control and governance.

  • She started his career in Egypt in the training sector with New Horizons Alexandria then he shifted to the banking sector where he worked for Commercial International bank, Mashreq bank and National Bank of Greece. Within the banks, he was responsible for compliance of retail and corporate banking products to the regulations of the Central Bank of Egypt.
  • She then moved to Kuwait in early 2012 working for Acico Group as a compliance officer for two listed companies of the group on the KSE, complying with CMA rules.
  • She then shifted to the financial sector in Kuwait with Al-Waseet Financial Services company as a compliance and AML manager.
  • Her experience includes the implementation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and providing consultancy and support to the BoD and all the members of the administration to ensure their compliance with the related laws and regulations.
